Framingham History Center Annual Meeting and Remembering Libby Franck
Tuesday, March 8, 2022 @ 7PM
Village Hall on the Common, 2 Oak Street
An Annual Meeting followed by a tribute to storyteller Libby Franck and her legacy.
It’s been one year and four months since we lost our beloved storyteller Libby Franck and It is time to come together and celebrate her life and work. For over 15 years Libby brought to life the untold stories of numerous Framingham women, including suffragette Josephine Collins, 19th century author Edna Dean Proctor and matriarch Kate Ware Smith. Many of the costumes worn by Libby to portray these women are now in the Framingham History Center’s collection along with her papers. Former Volunteer of the Year, Nancy Prince has also created a finding aid that will allow access to Libby’s own research and her storytelling process. After a brief annual meeting, please join us in remembering our friend as you view a display of her costumes mounted next to kiosks showing video clips from her programs.
While voting during the annual meeting portion of this program is restricted to FHC members and donors, this program is open to all.
