“Many Cultures, One Heart” Festival

Join us on Saturday, June 18 from 10:00am to 3:00pm on Framingham Centre Common (2 Oak Street) for a multicultural festival celebrating the artistic and ethnic diversity of Framingham! All of the new public art statues will be unveiled during the festival, giving attendees an opportunity to see each up close and personal! For parking information and directions, please click here.

10:00-10:30 Opening of the festival with a Juneteenth Commemoration, followed by a performance by:

The Performing Arts Center of MetroWest, a Cultural District partner, will be showcasing their outstanding faculty and students from the voice and guitar studios.

10:30-11:00 CJT Dream Dance

CJT Dream Dance will be delighting audiences with both classical Chinese and K-Pop dance performances.

11:00-11:30

“Kasibahagua Indigenous Dancers”

Enjoy this captivating display of Indigenous dance from the Taino Arawak tribe’s Chali’naru Dones and Diego Barahona.

11:30-12:00

“The Brothers Walk Band” featuring JC, the Godfather of Soul

This James Brown tribute will rock your socks!

12:00-12:30 MOHI Parivar

Enjoy this mesmerizing presentation from MOHI Parivar, a MetroWest Holliston Indian Parivar, whose student groups will perform a fusion of classical dance forms of Kathak and Bharatanatyam, and a Bhangra folk dance. Their ladies group will also present a Bollywood dance based on a Rajasthani folk dance called Ghoomar.

Phoenix Orchestra will delight audiences with a variety of pieces.

1:00-1:30  

“Ezekiel’s Wheels Klezmer Band”

Stomp your feet, clap your hands, and dance along to the traditional Jewish tunes of this klezmer band!

“Tarciso Alves Band”

Sway to the beat of Tarciso Alves’ Afro-Latino drums and Brazilian guitar!

2:00-2:30

“Los Sugar Kings”

Even if you don’t speak Spanish, you’ll find yourself wanting to sing along to Los Sugar Kings!

2:30-3:00 Heavey Quinn

Heavey Quinn’s talented Irish stepdancers will have you up on your feet and dancing along!

Danforth’s Drop into Art

Directions & Parking

If using a GPS, use 2 Oak Street (Village Hall) as the address, as this is one end of Centre Common

From points west: Take Rt. 9E to the Edgell Road exit. Make a left on Main St/Edgell Road. Cross over Rt. 9. Centre Common will be one block up on your left.

From points east: Take Rt. 30W to the Edgell Road exit. Make a right on Edgell Road. Centre Common will be one block up on your left.

Festival attendees may park behind the Danforth Art Museum, at the First Parish Church, Plymouth Church, and in the lower parking lot at the Learning Center for the Deaf. Handicap parking is available at the Village Hall.
